A recent article on Bloomberg reveals just how ridiculous Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had been under Obama: “Over the past decade, Rudy Bustamante spent a lot of time driving around Phoenix, meeting immigrants anywhere they felt comfortable—schools, churches, coffee shops.”
Notice he was meeting them, not arresting them. Do you begin to see what’s wrong here?
The article notes “As a community relations officer for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, he’s had the difficult task of trying to build trust between immigrants and the federal agency in charge of deporting those who are here illegally.”
They’re not supposed to trust you, guys. They’re supposed to comply with the laws of our country and not be here. By the same logic, the FBI should have an outreach program to stay in touch with bank robbers to improve relations with them.
The article continues “Part of Bustamante’s job has been to persuade immigrants to help ICE find serious criminals while assuring them that they and their families won’t face deportation for traffic violations or other minor offenses.”
Most countries consider being an illegal alien a very serious offense. Unlike America and western Europe, most nations in the world want to keep their jobs for their own people. Many Third World nations will arrest you under suspicion of being a spy if you sneak in illegally.
The article goes on “Bustamante’s job is about to change. On Jan. 25, President Trump signed an executive order calling for the creation of a department within ICE, the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement, or Voice, office. The almost two dozen ICE community relations officers across the U.S. will now be responsible for highlighting crimes committed by members of the community they’ve spent years trying to strengthen.”
The Bloomberg article then degenerates into an anti-Trump rant.
The big complaint is that ICE, a law enforcement agency, is now going to start acting like one again –a development which the agents involved have welcomed with public shouts of approval and enthusiasm.
A Breitbart article reports in response to controversy about one of Obama’s Dreamers being deported: “Sessions said on the case. ‘Everybody in the country illegally is subject to being deported, so people come here and they stay here a few years and somehow they think they are not subject to being deported – well, they are.’”
“…In order to speed-up the deportation of criminal illegal immigrants, Sessions is relocating 50 immigration judges to detention centers, and asking to hire an additional 75, as Breitbart Texas reported.”
After the loathsome Barack Obama effectively abolished the border in 2014 with a stroke of his pen, ICE and Border Patrol were reduced to a kind of welcome wagon and taxi service, among other things changing baby’s diapers and driving busloads of Central Americans fresh over the border to comfortable reception centers and later on driving them many hundreds of miles into the interior of the country, which they were supposed to be guarding, to bring the joys of “Diversity” to Iowa, Nebraska and Idaho.
Now Border Patrol agents can actually do what they’re supposed to be doing: guarding America from illegal alien Third World invaders and poor Bloomberg is so sad.
