Nation-Wide Concealed Carry Bills in House and Senate

by James Buchanan

Donald Trump has promised to create a system in which a concealed carry permit valid in one state will be valid in all 50 states. Ironically, one premise for doing this is based on the Obama regime’s policy that a Gay marriage which is valid in one state should be valid in all 50 states. Needless to say, the Second Amendment (unlike Gay marriage) is in the actual Constitution and should not require any legal voodoo to establish it in all 50 states.

Acting on President Trump’s announced intentions, bills have been introduced in the House and Senate to finally make it possible for an American citizen to carry a firearm for protection with him as he travels around the states.

No doubt there will be more activist judges throwing up spurious roadblocks to delay nation-wide concealed carry. We already know that liberal judges don’t care if ordinary Americans die at the hands of Muslim terrorists, who need to be kept out of the U.S. Naturally these same judges will slow down the implementation of nation-wide concealed carry states in several liberal states, no doubt causing the deaths of more Americans who were denied a defense against well-armed criminals, who simply ignore gun control laws.

A Daily Caller article reports “Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn announced Saturday at the general meeting of the Texas State Rifle Association in Austin that he will introduce the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act in the upper chamber next week.

The legislation, according to a press release from Cornyn’s office, will “allow those with concealed carry privileges in their home states to exercise those rights in states with similar laws.”

“Cornyn proposed his concealed carry reciprocity bill in 2013 and again in 2015 but both attempts failed in the upper chamber. Cornyn’s present bill comes just over one month after North Carolina Republican Rep. Richard Hudson announced a concealed carry reciprocity bill in the House, and both bills are expected to be a companion to the other.”

“Our Second Amendment right doesn’t disappear when we cross state lines, and I plan to introduce legislation in the first days of the 115th Congress to guarantee that. The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 is a common sense bill to provide law-abiding citizens the right to conceal carry and travel freely between states without worrying about conflicting state codes or onerous civil suits.”

“’I’m very much in favor of making all concealed-carry permits valid in every state,’ Trump wrote in his book, ‘Crippled America.’ ‘If we can do that for driving — which is a privilege, not a right — then surely we can do that for concealed carry, which is a right, not a privilege.’”

It is absolutely fantastic to have a real patriot for a president instead of liberals and RINOs, who pass laws that criminalize the ownership of semi-auto firearms, which have existed in significant numbers since the Mauser Broomhandle pistol was first produced in 1896.

The problem isn’t a certain type of firearm. The problem of gun violence comes from the large Black population with its defective MAO-A “thug genes” as noted here and here for anyone who wants to make intelligent decisions based on the facts and not horribly flawed decisions based on liberal feelings.
