We have been brainwashed all our lives to view the Japanese and Germans as the “bad guys” in World War Two. That massive over-simplification suddenly becomes a lot more cloudy when you reexamine what the Allies actually did in the the closing months of the war.
The anniversary of the bombing of Dresden just recently passed. The Germans tagged over 250,000 bodies, and 500,000 may have been slaughtered. One source reports “on the evening of February 13, 1945, an orgy of genocide and barbarism began against a defenceless German city, one of the greatest cultural centres of Europe…”
“Toward the end of World War II, as Allied planes rained death and destruction over Germany, the old Saxon city of Dresden lay like an island of tranquillity amid an ocean of desolation. Famous mainly for its art and Baroque architecture and possessing no military value, Dresden had been spared the terror that descended from the skies over the rest of the country….”
“…February 13, 1945, a flood of refugees fleeing the Red Army 60 miles away had swollen the city’s population to well over a million. Each new refugee brought fearful accounts of Soviet horrors and atrocities. Little did those refugees retreating from the red terror imagine that they themselves were about to die in a horror worse than anything Stalin could devise…”
“A Swiss citizen described his visit to Dresden two weeks after the raid:- ‘I could see torn-off arms and legs, mutilated torsos and heads which had been wrenched from their bodies and rolled away. In places the corpses were still lying so densely that I had to clear a path through them in order not to tread on arms and legs.’
“The death toll was staggering. The full extent of the Dresden Holocaust can be more readily grasped if one considers that well over 250,000 – and quite possibly as many as a half a million – persons died within a 14 hour period, whereas estimates of those who died at Hiroshima range from 90,000 to 140,000.”
“Allied apologists for the massacre have often ‘twinned’ Dresden with our own city of Coventry. But the 380 killed in Coventry during the entire war cannot begin to compare with perhaps 1,000 times that number who were slaughtered in 14 hours at Dresden. Moreover, Coventry was a centre of the motor and munitions industries, a legitimate military target. Dresden, on the other hand, produced nothing in those categories.”
The Allied bombing of Dresden was entirely pointless except to mass murder German civilians in order to punish Germany.
After the war, the Western Allies handed over hundreds of thousands of White refugees from Communism to the dictator Stalin. Even western historians admit that many if not most of those refugees were mass-murdered by Stalin.
General Eisenhower re-classified German POWs as something other than prisoners so he could deny them food, shelter and other protections of the Geneva Convention. One book by a Canadian author “Other Losses” details the death of 1.5 million Germans due largely to starvation and exposure to the elements.
The Soviets of course also treated German prisoners badly. Out of 250,000 POWs at Stalingrad only 5,000 survived the war. Soviet army soldiers mass-raped German women from ten year old girls to old women, but many court historians have the chutzpah to claim that the Soviets were “liberating” eastern and central Europe.
Historians need to do a massive re-write of World War Two history. They need to start mentioning the massive Allied atrocities, and they need to review some of the fables that have been taught as fact in public schools that are nothing but historical fraud.
