The College Rape Myth

rape prevention

The liberal media and radical feminists have created a myth that large numbers of women at American colleges are being raped. For White women, who date only White men at college, and who avoid drunken frat parties, the chances of being raped are nearly zero.

White men at college are among the most responsible people in society, who are trying to better themselves. They are the least likely to throw away their futures by raping a coed. There are dangerous individuals on campus, but they are the Black college athletes, who are let into college only for their sports skills, and Middle Eastern men at college, who often use date-rape drugs.

An article on the date rape myth reports “It’s a lonely job, working the phones at a college rape crisis center. Day after day, you wait for the casualties to show up from the alleged campus rape epidemic—but no one calls. Could this mean that the crisis is overblown?”

“…If the one-in-four statistic is correct—it is sometimes modified to (a range of) ‘one-in-five to one-in-four’—campus rape represents a crime wave of unprecedented proportions. No crime, much less one as serious as rape, has a victimization rate remotely approaching 20 or 25 percent, even over many years. The 2006 violent crime rate in Detroit, one of the most violent cities in America, was 2,400 murders, rapes, robberies, and aggravated assaults per 100,000 inhabitants—a rate of 2.4 percent. The one-in-four statistic would mean that every year, millions of young women graduate who have suffered the most terrifying assault, short of murder, that a woman can experience. Such a crime wave would require nothing less than a state of emergency—Take Back the Night rallies and 24-hour hotlines would hardly be adequate to counter this tsunami of sexual violence. Admissions policies letting in tens of thousands of vicious criminals would require a complete revision, perhaps banning boys entirely. The nation’s nearly 10 million female undergrads would need to take the most stringent safety precautions. Certainly, they would have to alter their sexual behavior radically to avoid falling prey to the rape epidemic.”

“None of this crisis response occurs, of course—because the crisis doesn’t exist. During the 1980s, feminist researchers committed to the rape-culture theory had discovered that asking women directly if they had been raped yielded disappointing results—very few women said that they had been. So Ms. commissioned University of Arizona public health professor Mary Koss to develop a different way of measuring the prevalence of rape. Rather than asking female students about rape per se, Koss asked them if they had experienced actions that she then classified as rape. Koss’s method produced the 25 percent rate, which Ms. then published…”

So a radical feminist named Koss single-handedly created an atmosphere of paranoia about rape on campus, which has no doubt made it even more difficult for young White men to get dates with young White women while at college. Many radical feminists are lesbians and they don’t want young White men dating young White women. They want young White women “experimenting” with lesbian affairs.

These same radical feminists, who fail to warn White women about Black and Middle Eastern men, would never advocate that women own or carry guns to protect themselves, which is the only realistic way to fight off a large Black rapist.

An organization called Students for Concealed Carry states on their website “Students for Concealed Carry is a national, non-partisan, grassroots organization composed of more than 43,000 college students, professors, college employees, parents of college students, and concerned citizens who believe that holders of state-issued concealed handgun licenses should be allowed the same measure of personal protection on college campuses that current laws afford them virtually everywhere else. SCC has members in all fifty states and the District of Columbia.”

“Both the membership and the leadership of SCC are made up of individuals with very diverse political backgrounds. Among SCC’s leaders you’ll find conservatives, moderates, liberals, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Independents, etc. The members of SCC look beyond partisanship, toward the common goal of achieving state laws and school policies based on factual evidence rather than emotional rhetoric.”

“College campuses, though typically safe, do play host to every type of violent crime found in the rest of society, from assault to rape to murder. Recent high-profile shootings and armed abductions on college campuses clearly demonstrate that “gun free zones” serve to disarm only those law-abiding citizens who might otherwise be able to protect themselves.”

So who’s the real friend of young White women at college: The radical feminists, who want them to avoid young White men or the right-wing website which wants women to be able to defend themselves from the Black rapists, who are increasingly targeting the gun-free zones at college, which means to them that all potential victims are unarmed?
